- Benny and Björn (pictured) from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! are named after ABBA members and songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, respectively.

- In Viva Piñata, behind Seedo's house on the mountain top are the heads of Banjo and Kazooie in the style of Mount Rushmore.
